I kinda like it, but it's unclear to me how you get the "pin" through a round bumper hole. If the shackle is a simple "slide on/off" then in that case it's unclear to me how you keep it from bouncing apart and separating and falling out on a rough road.

Perhaps the design solves these problems, would need to see a vid clip of how it works.

As far as strength goes, a 5T "WLL" working-load-limit should be plenty, and is typical for shackles of this size.

That's considerably different than a 5T "breaking strength" and most recovery gear (winch cables, straps, etc...) are rated at breaking strength not working load limit.

From their site:

We made mounting the Jowl easy. The shackle pin is secured by two Metric M12 screws that accept any 1/4" socket wrench. Just grab two 1/4 inch ratchets and easily remove or attach the shackle to your vehicle without the need to find the correct allen keys or hex wrenches out on the trail. (Bonus: only one screw needs to be removed to attach or remove the shackle from your vehicle adding to the speed and functionality of this design.)

Makes sense. I stopped reading the description when they got to colors and plastic coatings, figuring I'd passed all the relevant parts at that point. :-P

No thanks. Stick with what works and not someone trying to reinvent the wheel.
