Hi Steve! Can you give a report on the conditions when you get back please? From some of the stuff I’ve read and seen the campsite at the end towards the trail that leads to the Dam was not accessible. The north fork kern river actually looked like a river lol

Not OP but just got back from a weekend trip to Monache and it’s not as bad as what I had conditions were. The trial from the ranger station to the meadows was in worse condition compared to two years ago, but definitely still accessible with a stock jeep (an awd highlander made it in and back; albeit having probably caused some damage to the underside).

We stayed near smith fork, just below the last hill down and before the thinner stretch of campsites along the river. River was semi-full and flowing through most parts.

Mostly sunny but caught a few sprinkles throughout the day, about 40 degrees at night.
