My wife said time for another moab trip so next week off to moab again...rooms are dirt cheap right now. weather should be good. life is good . going to hit some of the easier stuff this time ie planing jax trax, Bartlett overlook maybe chickens corner and dome plateau.

About 10 miles North of canyonlands is Merrimack and Monitor trail. Rated a 3/4. Had a real nice time there and saw some beautiful scenery last October.

If you are looking for something a little different but not too difficult to run you might want to check it out.

I have done seven mile a couple times including in November when doing wipe out hill.. I think that is all part of that same route? beautiful scenery if it is part of that.

Lockhart Basin is a great trail. It starts by turning south off of the Chicken Corners trail and goes south all the way to the southern Canyon Lands Nat Park. There is one hill about 3 miles into the trail that is rated 5, but the rest of the trail is easy and has miles and miles and miles of fantastic scenery.
