Was doing some preliminary system checks before heading out to the trails this weekend, but when I tried to test the sway-bar disconnect, it didn't actually disconnect. The light blinked (on the button) for 2-3 seconds, I heard a couple of clicks and clunks, and the system seemingly did nothing, as the sway bar still showed as "connected" on the screen. I tried rocking it back and forth a couple of times, making sure to be on level ground (per the manual), in 4HI and/or 4LO and still no luck. At one point, a "Service Sway System Soon" message appeared on the dash after the system "thought" about it for a few seconds, and then the message went away..

I've tested the system twice previously, not actually taking it off road, and each time it seemed to work as expected.

I finally caved in and made an appointment to get it in, but my reason for posting is just to ask the question - are these systems typically fussy? Is there something I can look for that might give me an indication of what's going on? If there's something I'm doing wrong, I'd hate to be without the "disconnect" this weekend if it was just due to user error. :/
