2018 Jk jeep Wrangler
My 2018 JK jeep wrangler was found to have coolant in the engine. Jeep dealership wanted 14k to rebuild the engine. A mechanic at the dealership pulled me to the side and said he would do the rebuild for $1,500.00 ... Well now that I have the cash I cant get a hold of him. Anyone know what the real cost to rebuild that engine should be and any certified mechanics near Buckeye AZ reading this want to proved a cost. Its going to be my son's 1st car and I have 6months before he gets his DL. The dealership wanted another $1,200.00 just to put it back together so I had them put the parts in the back and had it towed to my house in Buckeye AZ. It had 165k miles on the engine if that matters...

I would be leery as hell of a dealer tech who pulled you aside and offered to do it for $1500. maybe it does not need a rebuild just the head gasket replaced....seems fishy just the same. maybe take some photos of the parts and condition it presently in.
