Hello All,
I recently purchased a used 2020 Wrangler Unlimited Sahara with about 17,000 KM. I have a long road trip coming up (~4,000 KM) so I thought I would take a look at the remaining tread of the tires to see if I should do a rotation beforehand, or wait for after. All four tires are at 8/32, but the spare has never been subbed into rotation by the previous owner so it is at 11/32. I looked up my VIN and it says Conventional Front and Rear Axle Differential, and I have Part Time 4WD.
Is it too late for me to sub it into rotation? I would really hate for the tire to go to waste, but obviously don't want to cause any damage.
Thanks for the help.
EDIT: I think I may be being overly cautious, as it is only 1-2% of the overall diameter?
