Show me a part number or a even a link to a full floating M220 axle.
The production model of the M220 is a semi-floating axle.
I'm pretty sure in order to get a production model a full-floating axle you need to move up to the Dana 60.
At least under my rock the difference between Full and semi floating axles is huge.
Please explain why the 2024+ rubicon rear axle is not full floating. I'm sure you have some good pics and diagrams under that rock.

here is a motortrend article on the new axle.

Is there a way to convert a semi-float rear axle in a 2022 Rubicon to a full-float rear axle in a 2024+ Rubicon? Does anyone make a kit for that, or does it require a whole new axle assembly?

I'm getting ready to pop for a set of RCV axle shafts for my 2022 392, and if I could convert to a full-float rear axle at the same time it would be nice.
best I can do is give you pics of the two

Full float -2024 392
ignore the non 392 rotors although I can confirm HD brakes fit on the full float axles
looks like the flange on the axle is different and thicker.

With a full float axle the drive shafts can be removed/installed with the weight of the vehicle on the tires/wheels on the ground. Can't do that with the Jeep axles.
I assume you mean axle shafts? That is only if the full float is designed to allow removal of the axle shafts with wheels and tires in place. This is a screen shot from one of the videos posted above.

Can you explain why this is not considered full float, and please post sources.

With the above design you can't really remove the shaft without taking off the wheels, but you can remove the shaft and then put the spindle and wheels back on. unlike the 2023 and below Rubicon axles where the wheels and shaft are connected directly.

This is what a Full Float axle looks like. You can remove the 8 nuts holding the axle and remove it with the weight of the vehicle still on the tires.

That is what one type of full float axle looks like.

Please answer my question of why the above image I posted is not full float. There are plenty of resources explaining why it is.

The difference in semi-float vs full float is whether the axle shaft is carry the weight of the vehicle. All front axles that I know of are full float yet the shaft cannot be removed without disassembly. The semi float M220 has an axle shaft that also carries the weight of the Jeep. The new full float M220 has a unit bearing much like the front axle that carries the weight, the axle shaft only transmits torque.

Here's another Jeep axle that's full float but you have to remove the spindles to get the shafts out.

Here's another hint.

Pretty much all front solid axles in all 4WD vehicles have been full float axles. Pretty much all of them require removing spindles and/or unit bearings to get the shafts out.

If the axle shaft does not handle any of the vertical or side loading, just rotational, it is full floating. Semi floating the axle handles all those forces. Three quarter floating the axle handles rotational and side load. This one looks full floating to me. Another clue already mentioned is you can take the axle out and put the hub and wheel back on and it will roll just fine without falling apart (though it might leak oil).
