My battery light keeps coming at 13.6V.
this is a 2.0 if that matters. Resting state battery is 12.8-12.9V.

Any ideas?

If your battery light is coming on the detected voltage sense is outside the offset threshold of the target charging voltage. We've seen a few 2.0Ls with bad block grounds that cause the light to come on intermittently.

Using a scan tool you can compare target charging voltage vs voltage sense to see the difference. it shouldn't be more than 0.1-0.2v or so. You can crank the engine while doing a voltage drop (ground to ground) test with a DMM to verify the block ground. If you see any meaningful voltage on the DMM your block ground is bad.
