Los Angeles trails

I’m in LA for a few weeks for work and a friend of mine has a stock jk Sahara. Any recommendations on where to take him for his first trail?

1) Take Long Canyon Rd or Main Divide Rd off 74 and go towards Santiago Peak. Easy. Bring mosquito repellant.

2) Powerline Rd from Barstow to Primm, along the north side of I-15. Easy, a handful of small hills.

3) If you don't mind driving out to Death Valley, Titus Canyon, Racetrack Rd, and the trail to Aguereberry Point are all easy and fun. Chloride Cliff is easy to moderate with a small challenge but awesome view at the top.

(2) and (3) are very hot for August!

easy enough for a stock wrangler but still lots of fun. Closest offroading from LA.
Theres also Asuza Canyon if you like mud and water crossings

I’d second Rowher Flats in SC. Get out there early and spend some time at the water.

What part of LA? There are easy trails in the SB National Forest (about 40 minutes from where I live on the East edge of LA County).

There are 3 badge of honor trails in Big Bear. A ton of intermediate trails and lots of easy trails.

Go from CrabFlats trail to 3n16. It's a fireroad, but a lot or trails branch out from it.
