I'm planning a four corners area trip for a few weeks from now, mostly to trail run and climb some peaks, but Im also thinking of doing some off roading on recovery days. Does anyone have any trail recommendations for the Telluride and Leadville areas? My jeep is a sport thats entirely stock except for 33" KO2s and I'm pretty comfortable on beginner/moderately difficult trails.

Alpine loop out of Silverton. Nothing technical but beautiful ride. It will take you over cinnamon pass and engineer pass. Lake City is the halfway point. Get lunch or ice cream cone before continuing the loop.
Another is California gultch and several others in that same area.

North of Leadville McAllister Pass ptarmigan pass, slide Lake, and Holy Cross. Around Leadville there’s Hagerman pass, mosquito pass and bird eye, half moon, Gulch and Champion mine. South of Leadville there’s 1tincup pass and Hancock pass. And Chinamans gulchl. There are a number of guide books you can pick up that describe these routes plus more.

In the San Juans (Telluride-Ouray-Lake City), the west end of Engineer (Mineral Creek) is probably the most technically challenging part of the passes other than Black Bear. You can enter or exit (depending on direction) onto Animas Forks to skip it IIRC. Mineral Creek is definitely doable with your setup for an experienced wheeler.

I'd highly recommend downloading/subscribing to Trails Off Road. Will give you a great heads up on difficulty.

Last Dollar by Telluride is a decent easy trail right behind Telluride Airport.

Some of the names in the Alpine loop to look for Imogene, Ophir, Engineer, Cinnamon, Corkscrew.

If you want to get back up to the loop from Silverton if you exit Ophir there, you can take County Road two up, although the highway between Silverton and Ouray is Million Dollar Highway and has solid views.
