License plate relocation

Any other place to relocate license plate than top of bumper or spare tire. Wife doesn't like the plate on spare tire. And this aftermarket bumper spot isn't working well.

I installed mine on my trailer hitch (which i also added). I just remove it when i hit a trail
I didnt at this trail but it wasnt an issue. It actually did hit once but this mount is built like a tank. super easy to remove though with the hitch lock.

I just ordered two of these (I need front and rear plates in Montana). I'm replacing my bumpers with Barnes 4WD Bumpers. I think these will work, if not what returns are for, am I right? Thanks for the suggestion.

Having the OEM bumper would have prevented all that damage.

Doesn't the license plate need a light on it? Did you wire anything to have light for night time?

It looks like your current relocation bracket was really flimsy. Look at the LOD license plate solution. It is BEEFY. I drilled out three holes in my CavFab rear bumper to mount the LOD license plate relocation kit. Solid as a rock.

I wonder if this could be used on a Wrangler. Might have to drill some holes on the underside of the tailgate. It might have to be shifted to the left, where the plate would stick out a little past the edge of the tailgate when it's opened. But it's simple and easy.

finding a spot where the plate won't get folded up rubbing against things and i can get a light on the plate is a challenge i'm currently investigating as well. will be following to see what you come up with. i'm not particularly enamored with most of what i've seen so far.
while i (like your wife) don't like the look of the plate on the rear tire, i don't know a better place for it to be out of the way; just need to coordinate that with the CHMSL and the wiring for the plate light...

yeah, nothing that low is going to work for me.
(even in the stock location on the factory bumper my plate got bent.)

some 'trails' (like the Rubicon?) are actually County Roads; license plates are not optional.

I did the Rugged Ridge relocation bracket. Looks factory (like a JK) and is very secure using the screws.
