LED and steel bumper

I am ordering my 1st Jeep.

Do I need LED lights?

I picked the steel bumper option. Now the dealership calls and says I MUST have the LED package with the steel bumper. Is this true? The website does not trigger the LED requirement when choosing steel bumper.

Regardless of the steel bumper, do I need LED lights?

Everything I've heard the LED lights are a big improvement over the standard lights. Need? no. If I could get them on the sport im going to order I would.

I wanted LEDS on my JLU but all the ones in my $$$ range on the lot had just the halogen lights and they are not bad, I may swap out the these later on along with the fog lights if a cheaper after market comes out.

I agree with you. All I wanted was the steel bumper. Now we are going to get it aftermarket.

Heck I don’t even have the steel bumper, or at least it does not look like a steel bumper with the plastic wrapped around it.

Good to know. Aftermarket down the line for both.

We are trying to keep the price down, so adding LEDs $$ to the already pricey steel bumper $$$ is a no-no for me.

LED package is worth it. It isn’t just the headlights. It’s the tails, turns, etc. the look is much cleaner and much better at night. So if you “have” to get them- you won’t be disappointed.

No, not required. My guess would be they have a unit already ordered or found one they can trade for that meets your specs except it also has the LED package.

I thought that too. That was my 1st question to them and I was told no. If one is available now that would be ideal...

LED and steel bumpers are now separate options. Months ago they were bundled, but not any longer. Sounds like your dealer is not informed on the order updates.

And yes, the LED lights are a must. Standard Jeep headlights are horrid
