Just wondering if anyone else has dealt with something similar, can't seem to find anything searching myself. Looks like something, my guess is coolant, is leaking from the front of the engine somewhere around a idler pulley is what it looks like to me. I had the TSB done for the bolts on the coolant flange, and that area looks dry. The area that is the most wet is behind this idler pulley, tried my best to get a good picture. Anyone see something like this before?

Guess I get to deal with the dealership, would rather just sell it instead of having to deal with a dealership lol.

Looks like the water pump is possibly what's right above and to the right of that idler pulley. Haven't been able to find a diagram that shows me explicitly that it is, but perhaps the water pump seal is leaking or the bolts holding the water pump in place are loose? I'll take a better look into it on Friday, will update after I get done playing around with it.

Hi Jake,

Please send us a private message once you schedule an appointment with an authorized dealership. We would be happy to connect you with a case manager for extra support.

When I find something like this, I take it to a self-service car wash and get a can of aerosol engine cleaner or aluminum safe degreaser soap and clean the heck out of the area behind all that stuff. Then drive it a day or two and look for leaks.

It's hard to say for sure on a picture, but it looks like you have two types of leaks. The orange residue is coolant and the stuff on the front cover looks like oil.

Did you end up finding where it was coming from? I recently have encountered this issue also, except mine doesn't look like fresh oil, looks old buildup. I also tightened about 8 10mm bolts around the pulleys that were loose. Might have to take it the dealer also.
