Question for anyone running KM3s or experts on tire side. I'm running AEV borah wheels with the vanity rings, running them with 35x12.5x17 KM3s. Road force balanced, at first I THINK I didn't have any issues - about 2-300 miles on them and I swear there's a thudding or as a whole just a bumpy ride. Steering wheel doesn't really shake more than usual.

Has anyone had issues with KM3s, or possible a weight fell off after being road force balanced? PS stock suspension on a 2019 JLUR. Any thoughts appreciated, otherwise maybe I'm just too sensitive to finally running full MTRs?

Also, worth nothing - running at about 35 PSI when cold 37 when driving for a while.

BFG are notorious for being out of round tires and hard to balance and with most M/T tires as they wear the balance will change some
Have 2 friends running the KM3 and have had no issues but we run beads in the tires instead of weights.

I’ve heard that too but stood there while guy balanced and even did road force balancing and everything was done properly. Wondering if maybe a weight fell off, or something else happening. If out of round, anything to be done otherwise?

It definitely is quite possible for a weight to come off especially if you wheel it. Another reason I run beads, don’t have to worry about loosing them lol.
Might have to bring them back in for another balance and possibly re mount if one or more is off to much for a proper balance without the need of a pile of weights

Almost sounds to me like you are feeling the lugs. This happens with some MTs. I had the Yokohama Geolandar MT+ years ago and could feel the lugs constantly.

Ill take it back to shop Monday or Tuesday - I had 35 inch KO2s on my last JLUR and they felt like a road tire. These look amazing but honestly rude awful - I’m hoping just a weight fell off or need rebalancing. I haven’t taken to a trial yet been traveling so much just got back - tires and wheels maybe have 2-300 miles on them all highway

I knew what I was getting into running multi piece wheels but couldn’t say no to how the borahs look on the JLUR especially with black powder coated rings, but these tires have been annoying. Will report back once I’ve taken to shop, just odd because I literally watched the guy road force balance in front of me

i have a similar set up tire and wheel set up, but used the dynamic balancing media on mine and they run great up to 75. 12 ounces per corner

one way to help isolate the vibs for free is to rotate the tires ans see if the vibration moves, and where to.
