Long-time Mopar fanatic/owner, with some Bowtie DNA from my Pop, this is our first Jeep.

We ordered a '23 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon on 09/10/22 at David Taylor Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/Fiat, in Murray, KY. Took possession on 11/25/22. We ordered it fairly well optioned, and went with the 3.6 gasser, though it was hard to resist the pull of the Hemi. Came geared at 4.10's, with 33" tires, making it a little too tall for my wife, who is only 5' 3" and has mobility issues, but we love the look and stance it has, as it now sits. We love to travel and be outdoors, whether on a beach, the mountains, a forest, or anywhere else beauty can be found. Having been through the Badlands, Black Hills, Salt Flats, Tahoe, Yosemite, and Great Basin the last 3 or 4 years, we decided we wanted to go through areas like this in a Jeep, where we could explore some of these areas a little deeper, and now we can. Also looking forward to driving through our local Land Between The Lakes and other places close to home, with the top down.

Not really looking, at this point, to get into the hard-core, with either mud or rocks, but this is just the beginning of our Jeep journey, so we'll just see what comes along as we go. Love that there is so much we can do with this vehicle to change it to suit our current and future wants and needs.

First up are pictures of it, as received, at its new home.

First mod was inside, where I ordered and installed a screen protector for the Uconnect display. I also ordered a Quadratec dead pedal and LOD Armor Lite sliders. With the Sliders, I also ordered a set of the small steps, which are on back order. The dead pedal and sliders just got here, and I'm looking forward to getting them on. Hoping the sliders, alone, will greatly enable my wife to get in without a lot of struggle, but at least the extra step will help, if needed. This Jeep came with the Mopar sliders, and they are coming off. I like the idea of a slider and step that is NOT body mounted.

Nice ride. Love that color!!!
Thank you, Dan, we do, too. I actually would have liked a deeper shade of blue, but this is as dark as Jeep offers now. I would also have gladly gone with Snazzleberry, but it is not in the cards for 2023 models, and we waited a little too long to be able to order a 2022 model.

Looks really sharp, congrats and welcome to the board! I was never dissatisfied with seat comfort but went ahead and put in seat jackers on the strong recommendation of several on here. They really do make a difference.

One other interior mod that I want to do fairly son is to change that red dash. I thought it was coming with a grey or black one, and was pretty surprised to open the door to red. Same with the red accents on the "RUBICON", trail badge, and "JEEP" lettering. That's gotta go. I think that body color for the dash would be great. Thinking either the light blue accents that come on other stock Jeeps, or maybe a gold shade, for the JEEP and trail badge emblems. Also getting rid of the dealer badge.

Need something for the way-back section, to protect the floor and sides for/from Rags, and probably a set of seat covers.

Not in a hurry yet, but a full soft top, extra lights, a winch, and something for the front bumper will be coming.

Body color matching dashes look awesome (there are a bunch of threads on this forum with pics and explanations on how to do it). When people do that they often times paint the outside of their speaker covers too (again the threads show examples of this). Rubis come with red dashes for some reason. Most other jeeps are have silver dashes. I have a billet silver sport so my dash almost matches my paint color. It is close enough where I'm not bothering to do the dash.

Installed the Quadratec dead pedal when I got home from work today. Easy, but not easy, with the available space :LOL:. Opened up the two boxes containing the LOD Armor Lite sliders and laid it all out and counted the pieces. Need to get the factory sliders off this week.

Finally got time to start on sliders today. Got the Rubicon sliders off this afternoon. Now, I'm thinking I want something over the pinch seam.

Also got the first ding; Driving I55 from Memphis back home, a semi I was passing let loose 2 or 3 rocks stuck in his tires. One hit the bumper, and one nailed the upper passenger side windshield, and left a spot. Next evening, it's spread into a 6" crack.
