Wow Spy,,, that actually helps me! Thanks for sharing...I suppose it's part of her story and history now.

Never thought of it that way but this forum really helps me get through the pain...

Unbelievable!
Glad my story has helped. thats how I see it, like our own bodies, every scar has a story. Both my current wranglers have other scars and stories behind them and I'm super excited to be here to tell them. My best advise would be for you and your boy to jump in the jeep and go build a new memory. Our first experience of off roading in our 6 month old jeep was amazing with the exception of slipping off a rock and punching the tail light into the rear quarter panel, man was i ever p*ssed that day lol but today? brings back memories I never wanna forget. Cheers!

My Rubi is 2 fricken days old and I'm trying to control my anger!!!!

Thanks in advance for any help!!!
Pull jeep into garage now and sit by it, have wife send son out to discuss his punishment.
Sit and look sad, then pull out 2 ice cold beers (weak ones), and have him sit and drink it with you (assuming he wants to, or 2 cold milkshakes whatever floats his boat).

Video it to catch that precious teen look of I hate my parents face lol. My kids painted my carpet once, I can laugh now at the pictures. We decided along time ago not to get mad at these kinda things, you pay either way, might as well have a good memory at some point to go with it.

In any event Its a Jeep so it gives it that rugged beast mode look, I had a buddy that would go out and scratch his new 4x4 on the back to get it over with, then he would go wild in outback lol

The scar has healed!!!!

Took it to a local body shop where I coincidently saw 4 Wranglers getting work done and showed the shop owner - was real cool and said he would do his best...3 days later, looks almost as good as new! Will post some pics tomorrow but was not able to fix the scuff marks on the black plastic surrounding the window...said there was no fix for that except a black marker!

Appreciate all the input...Pavement Warrior: I did have the beers in the garage albeit by myself!

Life lessons...

Use a black sharpie, but then wipe it off. For tiny scatches, they disappear. If you don’t wipe it off, they stand out. Ask how I know, kinda discovered this trick by trial and error.

I think he was referring to the black plastic area surrounding the glass...

SCIENCE!
That's some great work. Good to know it can be fixed (when I inevitably so something stupid and damage it myself).

Yeah, pretty happy about the end result and wanted to share in case someone else experiences the same issue... There is hope!!

I just bumped into a hanging pipe in the parking garage at work and there goes a chunk. How much did the body work cost if you dont mind me asking?

I can’t wait to be pissed about my Hardtop. I’d much rather have a soft top. But the rest of the package was exactly what I wanted when I bought. Wife told me to wait till it’s beat up. They seem very fragile and bendy. I’ve had it off twice already.

Fix was $300 @ Detroit Auto Body but any place can probably fix it... I just use them because the owner and a couple of the guys all had Jeep Wranglers
