JL OBD2 fuze location

I’m not getting power to my scanner from the OBD2 port in my 2019 wrangler. I’m not sure which fuze (in the fuze box under the hood) it is. I checked all of them with a multimeter. They all tested good. Any ideas? Thanks, Rick

If I remember correctly it is a 10 amp/red fuse ---> F31 (labeled Diagnostic Port on the underside of the cover).

For the Security Gateway (SGW) that fuse is F05.

Look at underside of plastic PDC cover for locations, etc..

Place a different 10 amp fuse in F31 and then try your scanner...

Also..... What scanner are you using. Did it ever work in regard to your JL before?

The security bypass cable has power so I guess I don’t need the obd2 port which still doesn’t have power. I switched fuses even though it tested good. I have an obd2 scanner ( Vgate iCar Pro Bluetooth 4.0 (BLE) OBD2 Fault Code Reader OBDII Code Scanner Car Check Engine Light for iOS/Android) that plugs into the bypass cable and I use the JScan App. I’m not sure what I might need the obd2 port for.

You have given no history.... have you ever used the OBDll port on it successfully? When was last time and with what OBDll plug in device?

By the way..... You may already know this ..... but that scan tool of yours, is not a tool that is "highly recommended" by JSCAN to use in regard to a JL and JSCAN. Yes, it is recommended for a JK.

i checked the link you provided and you are correct about not for JL but it does seem to communicate with my Jl just fine. I may have to invest in one of the others shown there. I also use this scanner.

Here is one that JSCAN, reps are keen on for use with the JL. Cost is about $60.
