Can someone measure the hardtop of the new JLU 4/door? There are a few of us who need to build a table and/or hoist system and this would be of great help. It will still be several weeks before it arrives, but we could get started on building now. Thanks!

Plus one, second that. Only inside dimensions too. I'm trying to figure out if the Freedom Jack, in its current JK configured state, will work.

I went to a local dealer while running some errands today. Here are the measurements:

A = 68" (without the freedom panels) 94" with freedom panels
B = Couldn't reach it, but I'm assuming the same as E.
C = 31"
D = 37"
E = 60"
F = 25"

These are all outside measurements.

Just curious anyone heard how much the 4 door top weighs? I’ve heard it’s less than the JK now. Gonna see if me and my wife can take it off without building or purchasing a lift system

Nope. Check out https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/fo...t-ideas-brainstorming.5659/page-2#post-121041 It contains my research on trying to find the weight. I contacted Jeep via the chat at Jeep.com again this morning and my "case is still pending". Maybe if enough of us ask them, they will find out. Here is the short cut to the Jeep Chat: https://www.jeep.com/webselfservice/jeep/ Cut and paste: "How much is the weight of the Mopar 82215142 Hardtop for 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL 4-Door without the shipping container and without the freedom panels?"

My girlfriend and I can take the top off, but it's a little heavy for her. I built a table top for us to just slide it back on to and that was much easier for her than putting it on the ground.

The JKU was about 120 pounds. It's reasonable the JLU to clock in at around 100 pounds.

Thanks for the information on the weight greatly appreciate it. I should be able to handle it and put it on a couple of saw horses and a board directly behind the Jeep then. I just don’t wanna scratch it up or put it down low where it would be hard to get back on. Again thanks for all the wonderful info.

It’s more bulky than heavy. I’m either going with a Freedom Jack, or make something similar that will lift it up from the inside using a cherry picker style engine crane. Seems like less chance of dropping anything.

This is wrong. D and C are flipped guys. Just measured one.
