As a career LE officer, just once, I'd like to see a department have a mascot pig, and a handler for it, complete with a K9 vest, in a caged K9 unit and everything. Take it to schools and public events. But, that pig could probably be trained to sniff for drugs as well or better than any dog out there. Take the pig narrative and turn it into PR gold. Even better, make it a doughnut sniffing pig! Kids and the public would love it.

Hey, Sacramento has their annual law enforcement vs fire fighters “Pig Bowl” game. Proceeds going to fire victims this year.

In California, the person being arrested cannot press charges against anyone if the arrest was affected pursuant to California Penal Code Sections 834, 835, and 837. The Officer would be wrong if the person affecting the arrest followed the law. Also, if an Officer refuses to take a person into custody after a legal arrest was made, the Officer would be in violation of the law and subject to be charged accordingly.

Interesting- nevertheless, that’s what he told us. …. hmmm- maybe he said their parents could press the assaulting a minor charges. Anyway- the cop got Bill to let them go.

The Wrangler ('25) has a pretty good alarm. Obviously, make sure your key is in a Faraday bag to keep it from being scanned, also your spare key needs to be in a bag too. I've added hood locks & a fuel door lock. And for when I have to park in a creepy location, I bought this lock from Bezos...yeah, it similar to the club, but a lot cooler...and won't mar the steering wheel...

This, just like a military hummer steering wheel lock. I was thinking simple chain around wheel and seat frame. Start it criminal, and drive where?

With that said, just for some levity. This was a practical joke played on a couple of deputies that went horribly awry in 2003 and received national press. A K9 car was also changed to We’ll Bite Your Ass.

OK, since the sh!t posts have started I will post the obligatory watch kitty pic. Guaranteed anti theft, with the bonus of rodent protection. But yer gonna need a helluva sand box in the back.

I do that, but everything has a down side. I drove the Wrangler today for the first time in a few days, it’s too easy to jump in the GC behind it for running errands. … thanks for the reminder, I gotta put the GC back behind it.
