I have a 2021 Jeep Rubicon with a 2.0 L. My daughter said all of a sudden the temperature gauge went all the way to the top. So she turned off the air conditioner, turned on the heater and it went away and she drove the rest of the way home. There is no leaks. The coolant is full. She got back in it to drive it again and it came back again. Does anybody have any clue as to what this could be.

Did you check your coolant level and make sure it was bled after?

Is your fan for sure working?

My 2.0 was doing that and I couldn't figure out what it was. I checked levels of fluid, I took it to the dealer 4 times, replaced the thermostat, and I used JScan to turn my fan on high at all times. None of these worked. Mine eventually overheated and burned down. I'm not saying that will happen to hers but tell her to be careful and pay attention and not let it get too hot. I was going up a hill when it did it and couldn't get pulled over for a few seconds. Mine would mainly do it at higher speeds going up hills.
