This is the Strada dei Cannoni (Road of Cannons) in northwest Italy, near the French border. It was a military road built in the mid-18th century by King Charles Emmanuel III. It was never used for military operations and has now been renovated to allow vehicle traffic. It is about 27 miles long and runs from the village of Busca to Colle della Bicocca, at an altitude of 7,500 ft.
