Help!
Chrysler Jeep can’t figure this out
New alternator
New battery
New ignition and switch
New starter

I have intermittent starter issues
It’s acting like old school solenoid sound…

starter will make sound as if it’s trying to start but no engine turn over for at least 3-5 seconds. Then engine will turn over

hard to explain

10-4, not that some of us won't try to help, but this is the JL forum.

If you think it's the starter ground strap, you could jump that stud to ground and see if it helps.

Usually the starter is grounded with it's case. Just the fact that it is screwed on to the block of the engine, that is the ground. The cable going down to it (normally thick red) is the +12 V. If you are concerned about a bad ground on the starter, loosen one of the bolts holding it to the block, and slide a wire in between the starter and the block. Run the other end of that up to the neg terminal of the battery. That will give you a good ground. That may help determine if your starter is not grounded well. I did have and engine that leaked a lot of oil, and it got down between the starter and the block. That starter takes a lot of current, a bad ground will really effect it's ability. good luck

To confirm, when you say turn over do you mean engine start or starter starts spinning.

Found what I believe to be the diagram on a JK forum. May want to confirm you're getting positive voltage from the relay output as soon as you turn the key. Neutral safety looks like the ground for the relay trigger, positive by the ignition switch you already replaced..
