Is this brass?

So i was working on mounting the power cutoff switch for my winch when i lost one of these nuts that hold a power wire in place. It looks like brass but i just want to double check before i go buy one and cause a melt down.

im assuming i can get one at HD or Lowes

Yes it should be brass. I've used regular nuts in place of brass units with no real issues as long as it's out of the weather.

Yup, copper threaded post with brass hex nut.
