If you just want a Jeep to drive around in, go to the beach, and hit some mild trails with, the 23 will be fine.

If you know you want to hit more technical trails, or you know you want 33s right away with ability to go up to 35s without really needing to regear, then the 24 is the way to go.
This. If you never going to take it offroad or even on mild/moderate trails, then save yourself some $$$. I have a '20 and have yet to have problems on moderate trails.

I have to agree. Mine is still completely stock and hasn't failed me yet. Now, I don't have access to the type of trials that the Rockies, California and other areas have, so there's that.

Anyway, I've stuck to my guns on this Jeep about not building or modding it until something breaks. At that point the broken part will be replaced with a higher quality than OEM part whenever it's practical or available. Hell, I still have my original Firestone MT2s. Those and the shocks will be most likely to be replaced first.

Newbie here. Be gentle. The 023 can be had with a steeper discount. Hence the question. I am specifically interested in a car with the manual transmission. I know about extra airbags and different screen upfront, but heard that the LSD is no longer available.
[/QUOTE. Depends on your use if you want a serious 4x4 or a daily driver that will never see trails and rocks. Mine is a 23 has been trouble free. Does what I need as a daily driver that will never go on trails

2023 Willys has 3.45 gears. 2024 has 4.10. the 2024 also gets the tow package and the Aux switches as standard
