I just did a prototype for a mount to create a floating iPad look with the help of the flat Nav screen. Super sturdy annd easy to come on and off to use nav screen again too.

Without a cellular/GPS version iPad, it can connect to WiFi using phone’s personal hotspot + Uconnect bluetooth, turn Nav screen off and then it’s good to go! A gaming controller can be paired too and then you’ll find yourself playing racing games while waiting for your food outside of Sonic or In-N-Out or while you wait for the kiddos to get out of school. Fun little add.

I can pretty much drop my tablet in front of the factory screen using Bulletpoint mounts and arms but I don't like it blocking the view for the rear view camera so I keep it to the passenger side and turn it towards me.

Does anybody know what model iPad has at least two inputs? I’m looking for a Wi-Fi only iPad where I can plug in an external GPS antenna and still have it powered by the plug into the car. What model would that be?

All these years of iPads being able to do everything under the sun and no one has made a goo mount and interphase for a Jeep. It just blows my mind

I have the proclip mount for my mini ipad and my 9" ipad and it works great on my 67 designs but I would love some more "stereo" integration. I have my Height10 and it has been flawless but sadly I'm an iPad / Apple eco system fan boy

As far as I know all iPads have one port. You can probably get an adapter/splitter.

@ForgottenTaco I had one that I bought used off Gazelle, it had 512 gig and all my saved Gaia routes on it . I thought it had a separate input that I ran a gps antenna to. THe thing was when my iPhone would not track on GPS the ipad with the external antenna would. The GPS on the cell would loose tracking even with cell coverage.

Thinking out loud I wonder if a cell booster would fix that although if I was really remote I don't think it would.

IT seems to have disappeared when we moved about 2 years ago. It had a separate input and a separate power port. I think Now I am beginning to wonder if I am misremembering it.

Maybe the external antenna came with an adapter to split the port? Just guessing. A lot of newer iPads have a connector for a keyboard or to charge an Apple Pencil. Not sure if it can be used for anything else

I run mine with proclips and bad elf GPS, just picked up a second bad elf off ebay. You can still find them on there sometimes.
