While the newer Uconnect systems are very nice and work well, I'd much prefer to use an iPad with Gaia or another similar app while trail riding and exploring.
Does anybody have a good mounting solution in their JK they could show? It wouldn't live there all the time, so I thought of a ram mount to the passenger side, inboard seat mount, similar to how a patrol car is set up. But, my wife will be driving too and her short(er) arms might not reach that far.
I could do something similar but on the drivers side of the infotainment, but I don't wanna be in the way of other controls and also like my knees to have plenty of room to move around.
I've seen a few guys mount a ram on the grab bar, but since that won't really be as big on the JL based on spy shots, it may not work. It's also the issue with reach as well for the wife.
Appreciate any ideas!
