2019 JLUR, 3.6L, 6 speed. 8.4 Uconnect system. The display in the instrument panel cluster when out a few weeks back. Digging on the forum, many have replaced the LCD screen to get it back online. In my case, I do not believe the screen itself is defective as it has come back on from time to time, sometimes for a flash, sometimes for a couple minutes. Backlight on the screen is still functional too. Both the speedometer and the tachometer are functional and have never malfunctioned.
All of this leads me to think there is a loose connection somewhere. Got to thinking that it may be a CANBUS connection issue at the connector behind the glovebox. If the speedo and tach get their info from the same canbus connection as the display then I can rule out that connection being bad. It would then be likely a bad connection inside the IPC.
Loss of the IPC display has been an annoyance, primarily not having a fuel level reading. I've been using Jscan to read full level to get me by but I would really like to fix this.
Anyone have any idea if the IPC is fed one canbus signal, and if the tach, speedo and display all get their info from the canbus?
