Installed Tazer Mini and have a question....

Very easy install...
Did the system reboot.
Using it for tire size and ess to stay off.
I noticed that after starting the jeep, it does it's normal dings, and then dings once more. The ess light turns on and good to go. On some occasions I noticed that the ess light will not turn on. Is that normal? I usually just press the button and all is well again.

Yes, its a buggy product. Turn cam hangs up on me as well. Frustrating for the $$.

Yes, my Tazer fails to disable to ESS about 10% of the time. That’s a known software glitch. Hopefully future updates fix that.
Even so, it’s still an amazing gizmo. FAD disable, ESS disable, TPMS threshold changes, gear ratio changes, tire size changes.... very handy for those of us modding continuously.

Interesting that you all have seen an issue or two. One common thing among you all is you have 2019 models. I have a 2018 that was bought 10/2018... I have not updated my firmware since 11.0.6 or had it into the the dealer to do any updates. She has been rock solid and never failed to disable ESS. Currently using the Tazer JL mini for TPMS, ESS, and Tire Size.

In firmware version 11.0.8 the ESS feature was changed to remember the last state. So if it was off when you shut it down, it would be off when you fired it back up. Not sure if that is the deal but it would be functioning normal if so.

I also have a Taser Mini on a 2019 Rubi and it fails to remember the ESS periodically. Glad to see it's not just mine acting up.
