Always fun getting insects in the helmet. I had a rather large spider crawl down to the tip of my nose and just sit there while I was almost fully leaned into a corner on a very windy road.
I tried to be philosophical about it. One of the reasons I purchased that particular helmet is because of the 3 integrated vents being well-rated for airflow, which is no small matter when the weather is warm.

What annoyed me was the perfect aim of the insect: below the visor, but above the face shield, splatting directly on the open forehead vent. A perfect hit.

I suppose I just didn't appreciate fluid dynamics and the effect of windspeed on the flow rate of bug goo. 🤪

The OP can spend the time to remove it on his own terms, or let it fester until one day he just loses it and breaks the lens out with his fist. Just saying, it happens.

I fly da plane...
When I was young I was afraid of spiders. I don't know why and I grew out of it. One day I'm on short final in a Learjet and see something move in the corner of the instrument panel between the glare guard and the windshield. It was a Jumping Spider. It came out and turned to look at me. I kept thinking that the NTSB would have no idea why this plane crashed. I think the spider knew that too and just turned around and went back into the instrument panel. Those poor people in back had no idea how close they came to being part of a fireball. My gripe sheet write up that day must have been hilarious.

In the 70s, when I was learning to fly, I had been cleared to solo a Citabria. I was taking it out and doing aerobics all the time. One summer day, I had just taken off, was still over the runway at low altitude, when a wasp came out of nowhere and was buzzing around my face. I was thinking, if this thing stings my eye, I'll probably crash this plane. I tried not to panic and it finally landed on the top of the instrument panel. I reached to the side pocket and pulled out the rental log and splattered his ass. LOL
