Currently I have my dashcam fuse piggybacked to the dash 12v so when the Jeep is turned off the camera knows its time to go in surveillance mode. This wire does not power the dashcam. The dashcam is hardwired to the battery. The piggy back fuse is 5a. Can I just tap that same wire and use an inline 5a fuse?

I will be installing an Auxbeam controller and it uses an ignition source to power off when the vehicle is off. The other option I see is to piggyback the fuse on the cargo area 12v in the ignition on only position. Problem is the fuses face towards the front of the vehicle and I wouldnt be able to put the fuse box lid back on. Also, the dashcam piggyback fuses face towards the front and would cover the ignition only spot for the cargo 12v. Cant plug both in.

Would the fuses still work if I turned them the opposite direction that way both piggybacks fit? If not and not tapping the same wire should I piggyback on the radio fuse? The radio is on only on acc or run. Should still work when the vehicle is on but the radio is off?

I don't follow what you're attempting to wire, but the existing fuse tap wire can be used to trigger/power multiple devices in parallel without an additional, matched-rating fuse.

Just make sure the fuse tap wire can safely/efficiently handle the combined current and its fuse is sized to protect the smallest gauge wire in the circuit.

The wire is to a piggyback on the in dash 12v. The 20a is for the 12v and the 5a is for the wire that tells the dashcam when the vehicle is on or off. The dashcam has its own 12v fused power source. The Auxbeam control wire is 5a and basically tells the box to turn on and off depending if the vehicle is running. The auxbeam box has its own fused power source.

You should be able to split the original fuse tap wire to use as an ignition trigger for both the dashcam and the Auxbeam, if that's what you mean.

The ignition triggers for both devices combined will probably draw less than half an Amp. Adding a second fuse isn't necessary, just make sure whatever wiring you use won't melt before the 5 Amp fuse in the fuse tap pops.
