I have bikini hard top on my 2018 JL (2 door) but would love a soft top for summer months. Live in a condo with no garage. Storage unit maybe? Looking for ideas (and maybe a company that comes and installs soft top)?

I help my neighbor with her hardtop every summer. She ended up getting the Bestop Trektop, as she did not get the dual top option with her JL. I had to install remove her hard top and install the soft top. The hardtop can easily be removed with two people, but it does take up a good deal of space, so a storage unit might be a best option. As for the soft top, the Mopar soft top kit is way more expensive, but I really like the OEM soft top (more than the Bestop and previous soft tops I have had with my YJ and TJ). Hopefully you can find a forum member who can give you a hand with this project!

Soft top is a fairly easy install. It helps to have a couple friends around. Hard top is a bit heavy but mostly just awkward 2/3 people it’s no I’d deal. Initial soft top install will typically take a bit longer than in following years, but still no biggie. Besttop makes some nice stuff (and I believe they still make the Mopar factory top. ). Good luck and enjoy. You WILL need a secure location for your hardtop, else it will either get damaged or grow wings and fly away?

So, you'd love a soft top. Personally, I like mine hard, especially when I roll over.

Get some decent ratchet straps from Lowes and hang the hardtop from your garage ceiling rafters. Best 1-person solution ever. Way.a.life has a good u.tube video on it that came up aces for me. ?

I wouldn’t recommend someone living in an apartment without a garage or proper storage to swap tops every six months. It will get old fast, and the hardtop will get invariably damaged without a safe place to store it, no matter how careful you try to be with it.

Other than the possibility of vandalism, why would you not consider a soft-top all year round? I was in one during a pretty cold snap here and it honestly was not much different than my hard top for warmth.
