I guess I'm just an old fart since I have to wonder what is at the top of all those rocks that is worth climbing up there for, especially that you need to take your vehicle with you. Some really good microbrewery that never sends their beer downslope? If the graves of O'Bozo and the Klintons were up there, *maybe* I could see going there with a vehicle since I would need something to carry all the beer that I would be drinking to give me the proper raw materials to be able to properly pay my (dis)respect (i.e. piss on their graves). Other than that? Nawh, I'll just stay in the flatlands.

This
In one of their videos they get a replacement jeep from FCA cuz of the steering issues. I wonder if that was pre or post door smashing.
This video was before the replacement. The new Jeep is now being broken in properly. Videos are being posted as fast as we can edit them.

It’s mostly for the adrenaline rush and party to prove al the naysayers wrong, I mean someone has to prove them wrong and I don’t mind showing everyone what the JLUR is capable of with the least amount of mods. I hope to afford a full belly skid and get some sliders soon.

Fair enough, I guess... At my age, I've had plenty of adrenaline rushes and all too many included broken bones or other mishaps. I think I'll just sit back, drink a beer, and watch...

Cool thing about this guy is all he did was put on the RC 2.5" budget lift and 37" tires. That's it, it's impressive to see what the Rubicon can handle pretty much stock. He has other videos from right when he bought it stock and it was impressive then.

Thanks! Ya, the whole point is for us to keep everything a budget and test out stock components. We are getting new tires since our 37s are from 2012 and are a bit on the hard side. The other mods I’d like to do are proper sliders and maybe a full belly pan skid but mostly just because how hard we drive it and not because it needs it.

BTW... thanks for the vid where you put the RC lift on. I watched it numerous times before doing my own :)

Sorry it wasn’t more in depth. We kind of just hit the highlights. Lol

Yeah I noticed... LOL. It gave me enough insight though. This is our first Jeep and the first time I've put a lift on anything.
Awesome. So the install went smoothly enough?

Yep, definitely a learning experience! It said 3 hours... I took 7. I tend to be a perfectionist with a touch of OCD :)
I wanted to really understand and learn how it all worked together in terms of the control arms, took springs out a few times and re-seated the rubber tops since they had turned, etc... so when you put that all together it took awhile. The Jeep is actually my wife's, it was her b-day gift, but I do all the work on it.
The guys at RubiTrux in Boone NC were cool and we talked when I got some Rubi rims for it as well as a Rubi suspension (which I didn't use). They told me to make sure to loosen the control arms and not re-tighten until it was on the ground, etc...
All in all a positive experience. I forgot to re-attach the rear track bar and when I went to turn the Jeep around in my driveway the whole rear end swayed and I was like WTH! Then I realized... oops, LOL.
