Just curious - on the wrangler configurator on Jeep's website, hydro blue pearl looks much closer to the discontinued Bikini Blue Pearl that the hydro blue wranglers going back the last 5-6 years. Just a quirk on Jeep's website or is it a different paint code?

Don’t trust the colors on the website, their color representation is horrible. In the live comparisons I have seen the new HB is a touch more saturated than the older version, but that might all be attributable to UV fading. It is still very blue, not any red or yellow in it to make more like Ocean Blue, or Bikini. IMHO.

I have seen it in person and it looks just like the old Hydro. I have not seen a new Hydro directly next to an older JK however. Check out the hydro specific thread here on the forum for a bunch of pictures under various lighting conditions.

My wife and I have a ‘20 Ocean Blue Metallic. Today we parked next to a 392 in the Hydro Blue.

VERY SHARP.

Still prefer my Ocean Blue, however I think if both were available at the same time it would have been a big debate for me with myself.

I have a 21 hydro blue that replaced my 14 hydro blue, they're the same color, same code too, PBJ.

Different from the lighter blue/green of bikini or much darker Ocean.

Hydro blue is obviously my favorite, always been a fan of the blue hues offered though

I loved the steel blue of my 08 JKUR. It looked so good in the sun.

Jeep really blew it with those representations on their web site. Snazzberry is also much better than they show. My Hydro gets a lot of compliments. I suppose most Wrangler colors do though.

thanks for all the input. I was crunching numbers - based on high values for trade in and decent discounts and the $7500 tax credit I can trade in my 2020 JLUR with 24K on it for a 2021 4xe and only be ~ $1500 out of pocket. Only snag is my wife loves here bikini blue jeep now - might get a gecko 4xe and worst case do a vinyl wrap to make it bikini blue.
