Looks like everything is good so far, refilled and tested about 45 mins of driving, no blinking, no codes. Lockers engage and disengage properly. Ill keep an eye on but it appears to be a successful potting.
Yeah that's what I did, kept the diff open, plugged in and set the sensor in place, started the jeep and let it idle for 30-60 seconds, if no code or blinking locker light I considered it a pass. Thats my understanding of the process as was described in post 802 on this thread.
Ive currently...
Well, I got mine potted and they're curing now, luckily I don't need to go anywhere until Tuesday so ill let them cure tomorrow, install and test on mon and should be good to go.
Many thanks for the video, that helped immensely in understanding how to inject the epoxy.
Here's some info from my...
Looks like I get to do this on my 21 JLR this weekend, got the rear blinking last week. Ive got the new sensor kit on order as well as the potting epoxy both should arrive tomorrow. Thanks for this great write up!
One question, when testing the 5 sensors in the kit, will incorrect sensors throw...
Trac-loc is a limited slip
Tru-loc is an electronic locker
Jeep has the stupidest naming convention for these IMO
I used the valvoline flex fill synth 75w-140 rear and 75w-90 front in my JLR w/ tru-loc, was very impressed with the ease to fill with those flex fill containers. I always hated...
Anyone find a resolution to this. The JT has RRT(19-063) to address this, just noticed my 21 jlr has worn down both sides of the liner, 100% stock with only 8k miles.
is there a TSB for wranglers? @JeepCares
I have no dog in this debate, but its worth mentioning that the automatic costs $3k more than the manual from the factory, of course a vehicle with a higher msrp will have a higher kbb value 2 years after the build date regardless. The fact that the manual is only $1k less than the auto after 2...
Value is completely subjective, all mods will reduce value for some, increase for others. Personally a manual is more valuable to me, but I wouldn't be interested in buying one that had been converted in someone's garage, even if they did a good job. But we dont do mods for resale value, we do...
Same thing happened to me, straight off the lot they were incorrectly adjusted. I would get flashed by every other vehicle. After adjusting them myself I Haven't had one person flash me since. High beams are actually useful now too.
I have a 21 hydro blue that replaced my 14 hydro blue, they're the same color, same code too, PBJ.
Different from the lighter blue/green of bikini or much darker Ocean.
Hydro blue is obviously my favorite, always been a fan of the blue hues offered though
Its off road...but better...
heh, I haven't tried it much other than verify that it activates during test drive. My understanding is that it does some adjustments to calibrations, higher speed rear diff lock, throttle adjustment, shift points (for autos), traction control adjustments. Not sure...
Yeah thats basically what im finding too. Haven't been able to reach out to the small jeep groups up here but im planning on doing so once I get some free time.
