We're talking about you though, how much lift you need. How many times did you get high-centered, and by how much? If you were rock stacking, how large were the rocks that you needed to get over something?
I did not get high centred as the trail guides turned us all around after that due to being stock height, so that no one else got stuck.

This is the trail which states 2.5” lift but doesn’t specify 2.5” from what.

The next day we did PB and Jerry which I cleared fine with just scraping.

What about putting a 1.5" - 2" spacer lift on and doing the same trail(s). See if it makes all the difference. Then, you can sell the spacer lift, if you need to, and buy something more aggressive.

Thanks for the in depth info. I had read 37’s can be complicated and with my lack of knowledge… I decided against it. I’m no where near the experience or skill level where I’ll need 37s.
I’ll check out the metalcloak.
With the JK generation a lot had to be done to run 37s. With a JLUR you would be surprised at how much doesn't need to be done to run 37s.

I love this idea. That makes a lot of financial sense to test the clearance out first. Thank you.

at the diff pumpkins 37's (Toyo AT3's) vs 255/85-17 ie skinny 35's(Micky thompson baja boss)there is 3/4" height difference when parked on my cement garage floor. My buddy was just over and we measured. visually there is a lot of difference but ground clearance at the lowest points ie the axles not so much.

I mean...it really doesn't matter. When you go bigger tires and lift, you do harder trails with bigger obstacles. Learn how to really drive first and decide what trails you really want to get to in the end and build your Jeep to that level. I found 37/38s on a 3.5 inch lift is about perfect but as someone else stated, it is expensive to do it right.

2.5” is a great lift with 35s IMO. If you need to park in low garages maybe 1.5”. At 1.5 you can really just throw on springs or spacers and maybe control arms and be done.. maybe longer shocks later.

Going to say, pick a better line. It's called a Rubicon because it's rated to tackle the Rubicon trail in stock form. A lot of offroading is skill, not equipment. You can watch $100k Wranglers struggling to go over stuff, when a clapped out 30 year old YJ with 31" tires on it comes walking past them.
Slow Down, use your locker when going slow, and don't take the quickest way over.
I bet if you had gone one wheel first to "crab" up it you wouldn't have had the scrape.

Two inch spacer lift will be fine for you and cost effective. Until you get more experience and learn a thing or two all around. Im on 37s and 2inch AEV spacer lift. Doing those trails you do with no problems.

Or Go for a proper lift and bullet prove yourself for the future. Rock Krawler 2.5, Metacloak 2.5 etc there are many on the market.
