Mine took 27 days from train departure to dealer in Idaho. This included the jeep sitting in the rail yard for a week waiting for a truck to take it to the dealer.. I was able to track the train hauling my jeep and the train moved just 30 miles in the first 3 days!...the train moved a lot faster once it got out into the open midwest.

How'd you figure out how to track the train?

An old Army buddy working as a shipping/logistics manager with the railroad.

Ha.. ok :) The one time I shipped a BMW back from Europe, I was able to the track the boat, but I guess the public can't track the trains... just hate bothering my dealer.

It was torture waiting for delivery I was like a 5 year old kid waiting for Santa Claus! I was checking the status way way too often getting frustrated...I think the pony express in the 1800's covered more ground faster than my train did for the first week.... My dealer was awesome, but he got the same run-around from FCA as everyone else when checking the status.

They told me it’s still in KZ status but the last event date was 2/21 and it’s currently at a storage area in Spokane WA which is only a few hours away from me! I wonder how true that is! Like how did it arrive to the storage area without being in KZS?
FCA's system isn't

83 days it must be tempting to break into that Spokane yard! :)

So FCAs system would show something like KZS or the code for first rail departure? And yeah it’s tempting haha only like a three hour drive away for me!

I ordered my JLUR in mid December. Two weeks ago my dealer told me "on the train". Last week he said "somewhere around Wyoming" (I'm in the Seattle area). This week he says "be here very soon". Seems kinda obvious... "Once it arrives it will all depend on how quickly they unload the train and get it on a truck to us". The train yard is 2.6 miles, only two turns, from the dealer. I asked if we could walk over and get it and I'd "test drive" it back. The wait is almost over!!!

You might have to try another rep. But if it's literally just KZ and there's no "S" after it, then it hasn't shipped. I always had to ask for the letter after the KZ specifically to get them to give it to me, and some wouldn't... YMMV. Mine went from KZ to KZ S in a matter of a day or two.
Good info, I didn’t know
