Of course tonight was back down to 26 and now I see they are predicting another big snowstorm Wed night...

We're pretty cool for southern Cal (Los Angeles coastal area) today. It's only going to top out just above 60F. Right now, at 2 am, it's not all that low for this time of year here at about 52F. In the coldest time of winter, which is usually Jan-Feb, we usually see low-mid 40s overnight, with ocassional dips into the 30s. This time of year, we are generally in a warming trend. The overnight lows is usually where I see temps start to rise first. I expect to start seeing mid 70s daytime temps within a couple weeks. This really is some of the best weather in the continental U.S.. Too bad about all the other negatives.

Today started off with thunderstorms and sometime this afternoon turned to snow...
Wind picked up, so by the time I was leaving for work at 11:30 at night there were trees down on the narrow road climbing out of the valley and up to the highway...though I got around them.
( Fortunately the top of the biggest one was busted up enough for me to drag off the road)
Then 25 miles of drifted/ snow covered and wet roads with a 40mph crosswind...

"Out like a lamb" my ass....
