Thanks. Benny
I was able to purchase the Skid plate, bolts and brackets at the local dealer, They do not list a part number for the Rivet nuts
needed to mount the skid plate into the frame. They are installed at the factory Rubicon only

Hi Dan,
I don't see them listed either but if they are the same rivnuts used on other areas of the frame you can try part # 6506104AA

Why is your shipping so high? Was looking at 82215669AB, the cargo tray under the rear area. $28.75 plus $18.99 shipping? OR, I can get it on Amazon for $32 and free shipping...sooo where do you think I bought it from?

Hi Bob,

What is your ship-to zip code so that I can research this further?

Thanks Bob,

The Fedex retail rate is 18.61 for a package this size to that destination so I will work on trying to get it just under that. We are over estimating .30 cents for the service we are offering.

Benny,

Would I be able to pre-order the JL windshield tie-downs from you?

That maybe your rate and it may be what FedEx is charging you, but you seriously don't expect someone to go with you when there are plenty of other vendors that are cheaper AND don't charge for shipping do you? You guys should seriously consider renegotiating your rates. I haven't found anything on your site yet that I can't beat from other Moparparts sites on price as well as shipping.

Thanks for the feedback Bob. I posted the information to show that our shipping is not inflated nor are we marking it up over the retail rate. With that being said there will always be someone cheaper, We are not here advertising that we are the cheapest source and we never claimed this. We offer very fair pricing on the products we offer and in some cases Free shipping as many members here can attest to as their purchases have helped us support this forum. We are looking into alternative shipping methods in the future that would offer a cheaper rate with the same guaranteed service.

Thank you,
Benny

Here's been my experience with AMP.

Last week I wanted to place a largish order (half a dozen parts and $550+, even more if I'd paid MSRP) for some Jeep parts for my impending JLUR delivery. I spent a couple/few hours researching where to get the best delivered price on the parts. I googled, looked at Ebay and Amazon as well as some of the other online Mopar dealers. Googling kept turning up AMP as the best price for the vast majority of the parts. I went to the web site and created an order. However, the shipping made the delivered price on some of the items marginal when compared to other online vendors. After (jokingly) disparaging their web server, I sent AMP/Benny a (polite) PM asking if there was a forum discount or shipping code. He replied with one which made it a very good deal so I placed the order.

They were very prompt with shipping, even shipping an item that the web site said was on backorder. Unfortunately, my order arrived with some items missing from one of the parts. I (again politely) sent them an email about the issue and 10 minutes later received a reply saying they would correct the issue, which they've done. I even suggested how the correct the issue (a complete new part in the original box) and they obliged.

A few days later I wanted to order some bigger ticket items and again PM'ed AMP for a quote. Turned out I could get it cheaper on Amazon and/or EBay, and a couple from some other online Mopar sellers. But I didn't come here and crap on their thread and whine about shipping costs. I simply ordered it somewhere else.

Some of you knuckleheads need to realize that there are real people receiving your messages and perhaps try to apply the Golden Rule.

So, to summarize.

  • AMP has great prices, not always the best especially when shipping is applied.
  • AMP gets things shipped quickly.
  • Maybe if you asked politely they'll help you out with price and/or shipping.
  • It appears to me that they try very hard to be competitive when it comes to pricing.
  • AMP has great customer service
  • They're running a business and aren't going to lose money so you will stop whining about shipping costs.
  • Some of you are major d*ckheads. Stop it. :lipssealed:

Guys I just want to put this out there

We appreciate all of the feedback we receive whether it be positive, negative or neutral. It helps us find potential issues with our store, products or details we may have listed. There has been many times when we receive feedback that shipping for a part seems off and sure enough there is incorrect data causing this and we are given the opportunity to correct. I apologize if our response seemed a bit defensive as that was not our intention, We just wanted to state the facts in that particular scenario.

Thanks for listening (reading :)) and as always please let us know how we can help!
