Here is a review of the JL Signature from HIDProjectors.com (2 of 5 stars)

Pros:
- The finished product works great (so far)
- You can call and speak to a person without going through a lengthy process

Neutral:
- Product showed up damaged (due to shipping company dropping the product) and was told I could return it however it would probably happen again. (Tech support walked me through the process.)

Cons:
- The instructions are terrible. They end with wire pointed to a 12v source with very little explanation. (I will explain in detail below.)
- Customer service seemed lazy and irritated.
- Customer service did not enjoy my feedback when I talked to them over the phone. (I wasn't rude or disrespectful, I simply told the tech support how I thought they could improve.)

The wiring instructions on page 1 are simple, however, once I got to the halos I had a few questions. I called tech support (option 2) and was told to find a 12v constant source of power. I asked the gentleman to explain where I could find one. I was told to call jeep and get the wiring schematics. I explained to him that for as much as I paid for the lights HIDProjectors should provide something. The man explained, "I do not have a Jeep JL so I can't help you." I asked how he could sell a product that he or someone in his company did not own. He directed me to "Tom" (unsure of the name) the owner who helped me. Tom helped me get over the first obstacle and explained if I had any further questions to contact the tech support (option 2).

The next time I had an issue I called tech support. I was having another issue (due to the lack of instructions). I suggested that they put a simple wiring diagram with real pictures and more detailed steps. Tech support informed me that the Jeep wiring diagram often changes and that it would be a waste of paper and ink to print off new instructions every few years. I explained that I spent a lot of money on the lights and expected to have at least one option in the instructions on how to install the lights. Tech support went on to explain how it was "industry standard" and that the multiple wiring options (different colors, designs, etc) make it impossible to give any further details.

Conclusion:
1. If you are more advanced in vehicular electrical systems you should purchase this system.
2. If you plan on having a shop install these lights: purchase this system.
3. HOWEVER!!! If you are new to Jeeps or are not very electrically savvy: STAY AWAY! Spend your money ANYWHERE ELSE! Just not here!

Being an electrician myself, it’s definitely an easy electrical install with most of the connections being simple. Tapping into a constant voltage to operate the halos is by far the hardest part but still not very hard. You just need to know where to tap in to. It does sound like their tech support needs to take it one step further to help clients locate a place to tap into. Sounds pretty lazy on their part. If it wasn’t for the halos, I think you’d be very happy with their product, as I’ve installed a few sets and they’re top notch.

I also would caution everyone to take notice of the quality that is lacking this product. I took these photos back in June 2019. Notice how the Halos are starting to fall apart and separate from the housing. For a product that cost over $1,000, i expected more. I love the look, however I wish the build quality matched the price.

Are those actually HID projectors in there? HID is yesterday's sh!#. No more HID for me. Had my nights with unreliable ballasts and bulbs.
