Help with incorrectly threaded bolt

Or you can try helicoil if there is enough material thickness behind it.

wondering what kind of protection can the bull bar provide judging from those little hex screws. A bull bar at least should look like this.

Don't you HATE it when a Prius gets stuck in your grill?

(High pressure hose usually gets them out)

I finally had some time to try this out. Ordered a tap and die set on Amazon with some oil and had fun figuring out how it worked. After a couple YT videos I was feeling pretty good about the process.

One week without a bolt in the hole had allowed a bit of rust to form in there. Brushed out what I could and took my time. It went super smoothly and I even fixed up the bolt.

I swapped the bolts around so that it wasn’t fixed bolt with fixed whole and got everything loosely screwed in. Tightened it up and no problems.
