From one idiot to another, there is no switch. It is a radial knob, but thanks for your assistance!
Simple fix, replace "up" & "down" with left to right. Easy peasy!

I disagree. I wouldn't swap OEM LED for aftermarket, but the Oracles are superior in every way to the OEM LED headlights. I've got OEM in one Jeep and Oracle in the other and side by side on my garage door, the Oracle headlights are much brighter. It's a night and day (see what I did there) difference when driving, much like the difference between the stock halogen and stock LED lights.

So basically, if he's going to swap them anyway, getting Oracle headlights will still be an upgrade.
That is exactly the kind of answer I was looking for. I am not looking for cheap and by price, the Oracle lights do not seem to be. If they are similar in quality to OEM, then I am fine with it, and it looks like there is good resell value in the OEM lights. I can probably get $500 for them and these Oracles with a discount will mean only a $150 difference. 2021 Jeep Wrangler (JL)| Oracle Lighting Oculus Bi-LED Projector Headlights (ColorShift - 2.0) - 5839-333 | 4wheelparts.com

I had to dig through my phone to find the pic, but here’s the side by side comparison. Oracle on the left and stock LED on the right.

Question for Oculus users?

I am looking at theJTORACLE Lighting Oculus Bi-LED Projector Headlights for Jeep JL.

()
In the install videos, they mention the adjustment bolt for height projection, to prevent blinding people.
Are the headlights legal in the US? (I am in NY if states have their own rules) Seems very easy to have issues.

Also, anyone who has these on a JL, is there a gap in the headlamp recess?

If I had to pick without knowing, The one on the left looks better. I am guessing the right is a little higher

At the time of the pic, the yellow Jeep was on stock Rubicon wheels/tires (no lift), so almost 33" and the Gladiator on the right was on 35x12.50s (no lift). So, a very small height difference, yes.

They are legal, yes you can aim them, and there's no gap if you get the 9" headlight meant for a JL.

The only possible legal issues would be getting the color shift lights and running those on the road. You'd have to check your state laws to see what applies to you. For my state, we can only have white or amber lights facing forward, so I decided to not go with color shift and stick with the white only halo.

Luckily we are in Fla where they don't care. That is good and bad because while you have flexibility to run more of what you want, you also see some real junk on the road.

I would try to steer her toward some color changing rock lights. Relatively simple but give the kiddies the "wow" factor. The factory LEDs work too good to go messing with (IMHO).

Totally agree, but trying to reason with a 16 year old that knows everything sometimes becomes an exercise in futility. Clearly traits she inherited from her mother. I hope the fact that the factory LEDs are so highly regarded will work in my favor in being able to offset the cost of the new lights. Was looking around the marketplace and looks like I can get $500-600 for the OE lights. Undoubtedly if I suggested other lights it would be met with "Oh, I want those as well".

I feel like I'm reading about an interaction with my own daughter and she already wants rock lights

You already have the best LED headlight option and got it from the factory. Maybe get her RGB rock lights.

You are just asking for me to spend more money!!

Then you know my pain. I think the rock lights are illegal in Fla. Well, not that you don't see them everywhere, but cops can pull you over for them.

I just ordered the Oracles. Hope they get here before Christmas.
