Following.
If I can get enough miles on my break-in I might join you. I'm only at 100 right now and want to get at least past 500 before any off-roading. 1k would be better but I'm jonesing to get out too.

New engine.
My CEL came on and upon inspection the dealer discovered metal flakes in my oil so they put in a brand new engine. I just got it back last Thursday.
Here’s a pic of the tech’s notes on my work order.

Yes. All covered under warranty. Only 15k on the first engine. This one I'm going overboard on the break-in without getting too anal.

Lol, I drove mine home at 80mph for two and a half hours from Henderson. And a week later was out in Anza to wheel my first trail. Definitely wish I would have been a little nicer to it. I’m currently at 35k miles in five years with the Jeep

I was in Lucerne a week after I bought mine doing 70 on Camp Rock and Powerline roads but I did put 300 miles on it first. I'm trying to be a little more casual this time.
The discipline is tough.

I can understand that forsure. Just lost one of my company trucks motors at 90k had a high pressure fuel rail dump fuel into a cylinder and bend a rod. Dealer wouldn’t warranty it. Had it fixed at a local shop and traded it in a day after I got it back. Felt bad but didn’t want to loose out on the 30k trade in

Yeah I want to keep this Jeep for a long, long time so keeping the engine up is a top priority.

Hopefully you get it broken in nicely and can make it.

Hopefully. I checked out Heartbreak on Trails Offroad. It looks pretty decent but not too tough.
If I even mention it to my wife she'll hold a gun to my head to get me to go.
Mums the word, lol.
