Hey all,

Just wanted to let people know that I'll be heading up to do the Rubicon Trail on Aug 2-4 at the Jeep Jamboree. This is the family-oriented option for the Jeepers Jamboree (https://jeepersjamboree.com/jeep.html). I'll be leaving from San Diego on Aug 1 and take the day to drive up with my 2 daughters.

If anyone else is interested - we can convoy up. The website recommends minimum 3.5" lift and 33's - I've got to believe you'd have an easier time on 35's or 37's.

Anyway - just want to put out there that I'm registered and if anyone else wants to do the Rubicon with their kids, I hear this is a great event. They also have the adult option (16+) on July 26-28 which I'm sure is also a lot of fun.

If anyone else is going and is interested in driving up there on Aug 1, let me know!

Naturally my 3 week vacation is 10 days after JJ ?‍♂

That’s ok, as of right now our plan is Moab for vacation. Missed it last year due to wife’s knee replacement so this time I’m coming back strong lol

Moab is awesome! I'm trying to convince my wife that we need to go back there during the kids' spring break. Keeping my fingers crossed...

It's a sign that you should go!

I do want to get out to the Rubicon this year but want to do it in a smaller group size.

Can't wait to see pics/video from your trip though!

Looking at historicals, looks like typically 80/50. Sounds like perfect Jeeping weather. I found last year that the Jeep Jamboree filled up less quickly than the Jeepers Jamboree in July so you may have a bit of time.

Will definitely take lots of photos and will post a trip report. Would definitely also be up for a small group but that'll probably wait until next year.

Thanks for sharing! 🤤

Looks likes a good time, and worth a repeat with a smaller, ‘disorganized’ group. 👍
Absolutely. Assuming no issues, 2 days is plenty for this trail. As a matter of fact, I was able to complete the trail from Rubicon Springs into Lake Tahoe then drive back to San Diego in 1 day. It was definitely a long day though.

Oh we have plenty of disorganized here! 😂
That's what makes it so much fun 🤣
