I am looking to go barebones and shopping for a Sport.

The specs show this for the headlights.

I was curious how is this different from the auto headlights. Could I leave the headlights on for all night time driving and have the car switch on and off the headlights as I ignition on and off over multiple cycles? Is there any issues if I don't move the headlight switch at all during night driving?

My current car has auto headlights and I will need to adjust back to using the headlight switch. With this feature, I am thinking at least I will not need to turn on and off the headlights during night hours. Is that correct?

The turn off time delay is when you turn the engine off. The headlights stay on for a minute or two so you don't leave the vehicle in the dark. Personal safety feature which can be disabled.

I have an upgraded Sport, a 2021 Willys Sport which comes with the halogen light bulbs. I've since installed 7-in JK headlights, Niilight off-road Amber's into my fog light position, high intensity yellow beams for my turn signals (mounted in the JK grill turn signal location), and Oracle flush mounted tail lights, all of which are wired to the factory harnesses.

During the day, I like to drive around with the fog lights on, partially because I think it looks good but also partially because it helps people see me in the early morning and evening hours.

This is the second time in the last week I have accidentally left my fog lights turned on, after I shut off the vehicle. For the last almost 4 years I've been extremely proactive about going back and shutting them off immediately. But now that I have all of the lights affected set up as LEDs, I figured I had some time to get back to it before it starts to affect the battery. This is also the second time I've gone back to it after doing this, 30 minutes later and have found that the lights are already off.

You're telling me for 4 years I've been going out of my way, to make sure I don't kill my Jeep's battery when I could have just left it and it would turn itself off?

It's been 3+ years. We do hope that the OP reacquainted himself with the proletarian task of using a manual headlight switch.
