Hey guys,

I'm Kelvin. My Jeep has recently developed a small issue—the window switch button is damaged (see the picture below). I tried searching on this forum, but it seems no one has discussed it. Or I missed anything? It still works. What would you do in this situation? please let me know. Thanks!

That’s usually from using alcohol gel to clean your hands, over time it deteriorates the material on the switch. You can replace that for about $100., for the JlU 4 switch. I don’t think it is very hard to do.

They also have window switch covers for them on Amazon, metallic and other that would cover up the damage.

I'd just pick that loose piece off and file any jagged edge with my wife’s nail file and call it good before I would pay $100 for a new switch.

same thing happened on my 21. i’ve seen super cheap (like5-10$) covers for them on amazon- would those work in instead of dropping 100$ for oem replacements?
