I’m a complete newbie with electrical work. And my last wrangler was a YJ. My 2023 JLU is obviously very different. I just installed LED halos to replace my halogen headlights. The only thing I’m having trouble with is where and how to connect the wiring for RGB halo portion. The instructions I received from the headlight manufacturer are very basic and unclear, and I’ve been unable to find a video that fully explains how to connect them.

the image is the only instructions I’ve received. As a newbie, I’d really appreciate some help on how to do this. TIA

It looks like this is designed to be wired into your current drl. What I had to do to get my halos working correctly was to wire in to my fender wires for drl. I used the wire harness from my Quake fender chop kit and wire the halo to both the day time and nighttime wire for drl. I used resistors so as not to back feed electric on the circuit not in use.

Everything worked until I turned on my turn signal and my halo went out. So I learned that having the halo tied to one sides drl causes all drl to go out when you turn on that turn signal.

I then realized I had to do this to both sides to get it working the way I wanted. So I dig into the left side and did the same thing.

Looks like you’re off to a head start as your kit comes with a wire for both sides. Mine was designed to plug into the fuse box, but that didn’t give me function of the drl on/off button in the radio. I’ve also recently learned the drl shuts off with the parking brake.

In the end I’m happy I did it but it was a bit more work than I thought.
