Has anyone removed just the honeycomb grill inserts on a Rubicon?

Remove the inserts with the honeycomb only and leave them off. Move more air through this area when installing a cooler for ram assist.

I did it, changed my 2024 grill to a pre facelift grill and took the inserts out, looks fantastic.

I
I do plan on relocating the horns to really clean up the look and make it perfect. Love the iconic classic Jeep grille look
That does look clean!
Once removed, is it permanent?
I remember I took off the grill once, and added some UV LEDs, but don't remember how it's pieced together.

It's not as bright as the picture, camera exaggerates.

Thats the best part, the inserts remove in three separate pieces and can be put back in. Just be careful when removing the white-ish/transparent clips in the middle to not break them. However, it’s the main screws that really keep the inserts in place anyway.
