On August 8th, 2022, I placed a special order at Abernethy Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram in Lincolton, NC for a 2 door Wrangler Rubicon with my desired specs. I ordered it with a factory installed Cold Air Intake, but this was ot installed at factory and dealer missed the majority of the install. I added a MOPAR 2" lift as a dealer option. Here's what I picked up.

I started small, with HUGE aspirations. I have the proverbial champagne taste with off-brand beer budget.

I ceramic coated with Proje and HydroSilex. The Jeep was new, but not exactly CLEAN, if you know what I mean. I put quite a few hours in, but in the future this will save a lot of additional efforts. I'll add several more layers of Proje as time moves forward.

I wasn't sure what I was going to get key-wise. Frankly, I thought my WK2 key was obnoxious. Then I got my hands on the jerry-can sized key to this thing and promptly ordered the MyThreedom key kit. What a giant the original key was, and now a much more reasonable sized piece.

I was reading all these posts about dead pedals and I kept wondering "why". A week of driving and I realized there was just a lack of comfortable positions for my foot. I dunno, but it was awkward. I looked around and fell for the awesome 813 Designs dead pedal with old-school on/off switch. I totally wanted to get knuckle lights, and the foot switch is a perfect add for those, so...

At the same time I finally decided on the Husky liners. I love the armorlite product, but I still want carpet. I just got out of an '87 YJ with NO amenities, so I want some creature comforts....

The ghost was sitting outside work, waiting for the dealer to pick it up and finish the Cold Air Intake installation. I spent the weekend with a few other very minor little projects. I installed a set of the aluminum handles, but F-them. I had to make modifications to the door frame hardware, and I regret the decision, but it's done... I refuse to post photos because of the BS install I did, and I would regret it if anyone like the post and went and bought a set and had the same experience I did with the crappy Chinese methodology.

Well, shoot, I hate cold rainy weather. The Ghost got the cold air intake installed, but what a disappointment that was. The dealer sent my Jeep off to their body/accessory shop, who did the install. The Jeep cae back with an engine bay FULL of shavings, debris and #sadness. I used my compressor and blew it out, but really?

Anyway... Tires & rims installed and slowly getting the suspension and driver settled in. 35x12.5R18 Mickey Thompson Baja P3 on Fuel Beast rims. I went ahead an added the red "spike" lug nuts, but WHOO, did I screw those up. Figured I would protect the red coloration and wrapped them in blue painters tape. The 95 lbs-ft of torque them smashed the tape onto the nut, and shredded the tape so there is now some scratches on the red AND little specs of blue tape and glue still stuck to the lug nuts. What a moron!
