I cannot imagine any soft top not ripping going down the road at 60 70 miles an hour. Most people have to have a hard top back there. I don't think there's a soft top out there that won't tear.after thinking about it I canceled the lite one I ordered earlier I cancelled it just sags too much
It is pretty heavy duty material and the pro version has the heavy duty steel tie downs vs the hinged rings. They do give you 2 rings for under the soft top pillar which I recommend using the 2 extra steel plates instead. The ring can move up and down and make a clicking noise on the body. Probably also damaging the paint.Probably much stronger than the knockoffs. I think the Velcro will give loose first. My biggest concern is it flopping in the wind and making noise because I cannot get the back from sagging. They need one more strap in the back and it would be much better. I haven’t had a chance to go top down with it on yet because I live in Michigan to see. Hopefully in the next month.

There's a guy here in town in Fort Worth that makes a hardtop out of this special hard like a plastic but it's really hard plastic material and it's black for like three hundred and it's nicer than the ones you can buy. I never had one made though because I don't take my hardtop off that much to justify putting it on

which one did you buy the pro or lite ?
The one I described was the Lite.

However, after much deliberation, I went ahead and decided to also give the Pro a shot. Stupid of me to think the result would be any different. It still just doesn't fit right. This time I can get it to sit at the correct height. I can even forgive the sag. But there's still like a centimeter of room around the roll bar bases, so anybody with a decent flashlight can partially peer into the cargo compartment. If I pull the cover any tighter, it simply rides up above the bases again, rather than stretching out towards them. Absolutely horrendous fitment.

That said, I've got a few trips planned in the next few months, some of which will require transporting larger items like foldable/inflatable kayaks, etc. That means I can't use a Tuffy/Diabolical/Backbone. So until I find something that works better, I'm stuck with this ill-fitting GPCA. Better than nothing, I guess. I can't wait until somebody releases something better. Can't possibly be that hard.

And they show pictures with it sitting around the roll bar perfectlylol. I think the few times I might need it I probably take a black blanket probably would look just the same lol

I hear ya. Honestly, I want to return the Pro too, but this time I can blame nobody but myself since I really had zero good reason to believe it would be a different result. Fool me twice, shame on me...

I'm going to hot-glue some foam piping around the areas where it meets the roll bar bases, so that it sits more snugly around there.

No clue. Have never used any of their other products and now I definitely don't plan to. Seems there are a lot of happy Jeepers with them -- but then again, same is true of the cargo covers...

Love the GPCA grab handles Even flip up out of the way when you're not using them so you have a full unobstructed side view if you want. I also have the Bestop Sunrider and the drives side works just fine. Had to reverse the other side for better positioning but still works well. Highly recommended.

I also have the GPCA Cargo Cover for the rear and works perfectly well for my use (rarely run with top off).

As mentioned, I went ahead and purchased some foam pipe insulation and added it to my GPCA Pro cover to fix the major issue of the gap where it meets the roll bar bases.

Something like this: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Everbilt-1-2-in-x-6-ft-Foam-Self-Seal-Pipe-Insulation-ORS05812/204760809. It comes pre-sliced and ready to install. They may have shorter lengths in-store.

Super easy. Took probably a grand total of a minute total. I just eye-balled the appropriate length, chopped it off, slid it into place, then peeled off the adhesive backing. It's easier to set the foam in place first before peeling the adhesive backing, but all of 5 extra seconds of work if you make the mistake of peeling it first.

With this in place, I'm finally satisfied with the GPCA product. Yes, it still sags. And yes, this shouldn't have been necessary. But it's a super cheap and quick "mod" that makes the product bearable.
