Are Ridge Grapplers a goldilocks tire?

I'm not convinced I want a full on Mud, but I certainly don't want to give up too much on the trail.

I watched a Way a Life video of their New England trip (where I live) and a few of the rigs had Ridge Grapplers and didn't struggle too too much on wet trails.

Will they be more aggressive than the DuraTracs I have now?

Unfortunately for at least a year this rig will have to be my daily driver at least in the warmer months while the kid takes over my other car.

Any other goldilocks tire suggestions?

Cooper SST pro Is a mix tread. I personally love the Duratrac but the only way to get a 37” is a 20” wheel and load range F, and the 35 is really just a 33.

Thanks...yeah these will be 37s with 17" rim. I've been looking at the SST Pros as well. Thanks.

I can't speak for how they perform on the trail (except Moab, but everything does well there), but I have been really impressed with Cooper's S/T Maxx on my daily driver. Remarkably quiet if rotated with every oil change.

I have observed that tires with a diagonal path for mud to move through will continue to pull even when they look like slicks.

i havent personally driven them in the snow; but they rock in everything else. Buddy had them on his land cruiser and had no snow issues. Im putting the sst pro in 37 on once i lift.

I've had Ridge Grappler's on 2 different Landcruisers. They are a great tire. Overall, they give you a super aggressive look, but perform well in a variety of situations (rain, highway, trails, etc.). Are they perfect ... no. I'm going to 37's and will probably stick with KO2's. Can't speak to the Cooper's personally, but know plenty who like them.
